ABOUT ME

My path in to the rich tapestry of mind/body healing evolved from a life long enquiry in what it means to be human and the nature of reality.

Struggling to find my place in the world, suffering from depression and physical symptoms that allopathic medicine failed to satisfactorily address, after the birth of my daughter in 2001, I went searching for ways to find inner peace.

And as I asked so it was given and the path began to unfold.

Always fascinated by Nutrition and its affects on our mental and physical well being I studied and qualified in Naturopathic Nutritional Practice (as taught by Barbara Wren), which I see as the underpinning to the other healing modalities that support my life. Shortly after this I feel blessed to have discovered the practice of Shakti Yoga Dance when Sara Avtar Oliver (who I later teacher trained with in a deconsecrated monastery in the Italian countryside) came on a short trip to the UK. Having previously experienced various forms of Yoga but not fully resonating with any, by the end of one class of Shakti, I knew this was the discipline for me. Drawn in by the softly sung mantra which gave a point of focus to and quietened my busy mind, these sound codes, coupled with free flowing meditative movement began to soften and relax my body, anchoring me in to the present moment and soothing me back home to inner peace. I was hooked!

My drawing towards working with sound through the medium of the gongs, Himalayan and pure quartz crystal alchemy singing bowls, voice and percussion was a natural progression after years of practicing Shakti Yoga and Naturopathic Nutrition. It is almost like the former was preparation to be able to hold and deliver the very powerful and transformative frequencies of the above mentioned instruments. In 2014 I trained in the BAST method of delivering therapeutic sound and later in Crystal Sonic Therapy with Genevra Jolie.

Over the years these three beautiful healing modalities have not only supported me through some very challenging days inviting in self enquiry, healing and rejuvenation but they have also opened me to align more fully with my deeper values and to discover more of my gifts. Through cultivating bringing awareness in to my physical body to be more here right now, by consolidating inner strength and more stability through the release of self limiting deep seated dysfunctional imprints from the past, I have learnt to meet my self with a deeper understanding and compassion and therefore to feel more at ease within this body in this time space reality.

Being at ease in this ever changing world is an ongoing practice and process with which the application of my tools continue to guide and support me and it feels an honour and a pleasure to share them with you.

I give thanks for the wisdom of my wonderful teachers. To Fiona Gibson who imparted the teachings of Barbara Wren with such passion and understanding, a vast knowledge base that profoundly affected the course of my life. To Sara Avtar Oliver who is the most incredible and dedicated Yoga teacher I could have ever hoped to have found. To Liz Cooper who gave me a solid structure with which to experience, experiment and deliver therapeutic sound and to Genevra Jolie who set in motion my love affair with the crystal sonic beings. All of you I hold in my heart along with the many other brave souls who have played a part in my awakening such as friends, family, freedom fighters, writers, biologists, quantum physicists, musicians, sound healers, animals, the natural world, the passer by in the street and all those I have been fortunate enough to come across who are passionate about finding new ways and solutions to old age problems as we as a humanity evolve through this astrological shift in to a new paradigm.
